Hello I am Wadiyah A.K.A Dee Dee the Natural hairstylist; I have 16 years of experience in the Natural Hair Industry. I completed my studies at the School of Cooperative Technical Education (Coop Tech), where I received my training in Natural hair Care. The art of Natural hair Care is styling hair in its natural state, without using any chemicals.
I interned and worked at Tendrils Natural Hair Spa with the icon Ms. Diane Bailey, it was a great experience. During my time at Tendrils I volunteered for Bam Dance Africa photo shoot, the African hair show and many events that involved Natural Hair Care. I’ve worked as a stylist at Mind Body Hair Salon with Ebony Hayes. I’ve also been a former Stylist with KHINKY.COM for loc extension installs. I currently work at Jay's Barber Shop in Harlem.
I'm a true believer of preserving the integrity of your Natural Hair. Styles shouldn't be uncomfortable and you shouldn’t experience unbearable pain while getting your hair done. I encourage you to advocate for your comfort while getting your hair done. It is possible to achieve a Natural Hair Style if you are relaxed and want to transition or are already natural.
